Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types,?including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.
The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Compliance Analytics seeks an analyst to help evolve our Financial Crimes program, supporting our AI initiatives leveraging Text Analytics, providing actionable intelligence to help enable cross bank investigation and support our Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) Policy.
Our team develops and drives analytic solutions, supporting Financial Crimes and Compliance Analytics. The data we work with may be very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Identify/assess data sources
  • Structure complex database queries using SQL and SAS programming
  • Create and run database extract, transform and load(ETL) processes
  • Data visualization
  • Text Analytics
  • Communicating the results
You will be involved and/or support of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc that enable analysis, modeling, and/or data visualization.

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ year of Python experience
  • 3+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
  • 3+ years of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • NLP familiarity with libraries such as? SpaCy, NLTK, Gensim, etc

  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs
  • Quantitative machine learning techniques
  • Desire to to become an expert in Text Analytics

Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
