Job DescriptionPay Grade: 13.50 Job Summary: Coordinates Campus intramurals programs, to include scheduling, marketing, and vendor contracts. Assists department in health, fitness, and athletic efforts showcasing the College's program and initiatives. Responsible for providing leadership to student employees and assistance to the Wellness department. Varies Duties and Responsibilities: Support and coordinate campus intramural programs. Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts/agreements entered into with external agencies and/or vendors. This does not include grant contracts and labor negotiating. Assist with and provide input to supervisor for plans that deal with departmental or area objectives, goals, or priorities. Prepare requisitions and submit to manager for processing. Coordinate the activities of one or more staff. Assist in scheduling and administrative requirements. This may include student workers, part-time, full-time, temporary, and/or volunteers. Develop and maintain positive relations with the community to promote College partnerships and collaboration. May include working with various groups to bring diversity into the College. Attend extracurricular/intramural and/or other cultural, social and community event as required. Select, maintain, store, and keep inventory for athletic and/or wellness equipment. Schedule co-curricular, extracurricular, and intramural programs. Arrange for facilities, equipment, supplies and/or food services. Co-curricular, extracurricular, and intramural events include awards programs, travel programs, speakers, dances, sports, special events, etc. Clarify, monitor, and enforce program guidelines, policies, and procedures. Refer disciplinary issues or unique situations to the appropriate person. Recruit, direct, and supervise volunteers for programs, events and activities. Monitor, evaluate and/or coordinate services provided by outside vendors. Communicate to college personnel and others through written and online methods administrative and informational matters as necessary. Liaison among departments, functions or groups, within the College. Communicate information to appropriate personnel. Provide information to the public, students, and/or staff regarding programs and services of a department, campus, or College. Participate in various meetings and committees. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one year experience. Licenses, Registrations, Certifications, or Special Requirements: Valid Florida driver's license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Professional or similar application. Skill in: Strong leadership. Good verbal and written communication. Detail oriented. Strong time management. Multitasking capabilities. Ability to: Work with diverse populations and varying education levels. Work Environment and Physical Demand: Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds. Reach and grasp objects. Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Stand for extended periods of time. Use of video display terminal. Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skill. Identify and distinguish colors and shades of color. Communicate information orally and in writing. Receive and understand information through oral and written communication. Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury. Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level and other conditions. Operate a motor vehicle. Work a fluctuating work schedule.
